Mountains Shaken

Our seventh week here in Chicago looked totally different than any other before!

We had three teams. One from Wisconsin, who got here right on time and ready to go. Another from Georgia, who flew in and got here a little bit later. Then a larger group from Canada, who took the train, but it got delayed and they got here super late.

Everything happened the way it did for a reason, I have no doubt about that!

For me, I got the Georgia team to help out with Safe Haven at New Life Pilsen. They were phenomenal and jumped right in with me asking them to do improvisation to the story of Joseph from the Bible to even putting on a puppet show two days later on Wednesday! Crazy!

On Tuesday, we and a group of the Canadians (Team D) took the Safe Haven kids to the zoo (myself and the majority of the Georgians got lost on the way as we somehow ended up behind the wrong bus….ridiculous!! Such good times though).

Anyways, the whole week God just showed up in mighty ways within Safe Haven to even in our groups to where one of the young Wisconsin ladies gave her life to Christ during the week. Wow!!

On Wednesday, we had a block party for the community of Pilsen, which turned quickly to a MASSIVE water fight. It was pretty amazing! The teams during this time really bonded and testimonies both for Wednesday and Thursday were the best to date! I and the entire team were blown away by the teens hearts and their stories of leading numerous people to faith in Christ!!

Each team knew what it meant to be a servant, especially by the end of the week and through their service I have NO doubt mountains were shaken to their very core for the neighborhood of Pilsen and for Chicago as a whole!

The week was super good and I was definitely sad to see all the teams go!!!

P.S.~ To all three teams, continue stepping out in faith and don't let the fire in your hearts go down! Stoke the flames in prayer and keep shaking mountains wherever you go!! You have the ability to make the difference!! Be bold and courageous! Never cease to pray! Love ya'll and miss you tremendously!!
