Day 4!
The last day of ministry! In the morning we served at a local food bank here in the city. They distribute food to numerous shelters, organizations and churches helping to end hunger. We packed 17,700 punches of oatmeal, 1,155 pounds of apples which made 14,688 meals for people! It was an encouraging morning partnering with them and their mission for Chicago.
Our afternoon was spent helping around the church, tidying up and leaving it better than we found it. Pastor Robert took us out to dinner in the city to experience true Chicago style pizza. Our evening was filled with encouraging and affirming one another, ending this trip well.
We as leaders were so blessed and honored to meet and serve alongside these kids. It was an incredible week of following Holy Spirit’s leading in and through the streets of Chicago. Our prayer is that they continue yielding themselves to God’s plan and His desires. We witnessed true kingdom wonders this week and we hope they’re all led to share their experiences with you all.
