Our team has been eagerly waiting for the arrival of our first missions team. All week we preapred in prayer and in supplies for these leaders of Christ. So the day finally comes when we get to meet them at the airport! Of course we had a planned agenda of what we could do after their arrival, but of course God has better plans:). That night it was rainy and their plane was delayed. We planned on meeting them at 7:30 and they didnt get to their doorms until  10:30pm! 😀 God made great ministry oppritunities while we waited. Tiffany and I made a welcome sign that we would wave as they arrived. When we saw the first white van pull up to the rental car shop, we jumped off the van and ran to them. We saw people walk out of the van and we screamed WELCOME!!! We got some looks that did not welcome us in at first but drew some smiles. I asked, ” Are you part of Love of Christ Curch?” A group of wonderful people said, ” No we are not!” I felt so embarrassed! I brushed it off and played it cool..and said, ” Hey well you got a great WELCOME from total strangers.” They laughed and stayed to talk to us. They saw our AIM shirts and asked us if were missionaries. We said YES with great joy. They asked about AIM and how we got to Chicago. We shared what God prepared for us to do here in Chicago. Then we asked what their names were and what brought them to Chicago. They cheerfully talked about how they were here to see their son preach at a church. They shared their love for christ and called me a fellow sister of Christ. I felt so special and loved how this random meeting that was not planned brought the spirit of encouragement. They encouraged us and asked us to pray for them. We assured them that they will stay in our prayers and sent them off with a blessing. After that devine meeting we finally picked up our wonderful team from Delware. They are energetic, fun, and have huge serving hearts. Pray for us as we enter our missions fields.
